WHY I PHOTOGRAPH
I’m drawn to photography because it asks me to slow down. It gives me a reason to look longer at a place and notice what makes it distinct: the way light settles on a surface, the texture of weathered stone, the distance between people and a building, or the calm held in a familiar view. I’m not only interested in recording what is there. I’m looking for something worth remembering.
WHAT I LOOK FOR
LIGHT
The changing light that can make a familiar place feel entirely new.
PLACE
The character held in landscapes, streets, buildings and the spaces between them.
MOMENTS
Brief instances that would be easy to pass by, and impossible to recreate.
DETAIL
Textures, patterns and small forms that tell a much bigger story.
PEOPLE & PLACE
The quiet relationship between people and the environments they shape.
BEYOND THE CAMERA
Photography sits alongside the other parts of my creative life: design, learning, buildings and the everyday rituals of moving through a place. They all feed the same curiosity. Each way of working changes how I see the next one, and photography is where those observations have room to settle.
I’m interested in how environments feel—the openness of a horizon, the energy of a city after dark, the stillness of an encounter in the wild. Photography lets me hold onto those experiences and share them in a way that leaves space for your own memory.
